Your Weekend Terror of The Tudors Ghost Tour
Your Terror of the Tudors – Weekend Experience
Your haunted escape begins with a two night stay at the charming Charlecote Pheasant Hotel, nestled on the edge of the picturesque Charlecote Park near Stratford-upon-Avon. Once a traditional farmhouse and now a character filled country hotel, the building has evolved through centuries of history and with history often comes unexplained activity. Rarely investigated yet rich in atmosphere, it provides the perfect base for a weekend devoted to the darker side of England’s past.
Friday Night – Into the Castle Shadows
Your weekend begins with a freshly prepared three-course dinner at the hotel before we set off on a short evening drive in convoy to the legendary Warwick Castle. Towering over the River Avon, the castle has earned its reputation as one of the UK’s most compelling paranormal locations.
Through the night you will explore the winding corridors and hidden corners where countless apparitions, unexplained footsteps and chilling encounters have been reported. This is immersive ghost hunting at its most authentic, a chance to step beyond the velvet ropes and experience the castle after dark, when its true atmosphere awakens.
Saturday – History by Day, Hauntings by Night
After breakfast, you’ll travel by coach into Stratford-upon-Avon, one of England’s most historic and atmospheric towns. Your first stop is the Tudor World Museum, a beautifully preserved Tudor building filled with artefacts, folklore and whispered tales of lingering spirits. Guided by its knowledgeable hosts, you’ll uncover the building’s macabre past.
The day continues with a guided walk through Stratford’s historic streets, a town forever linked with William Shakespeare and centuries of dramatic history. You’ll also have free time to browse the town’s unique boutiques or enjoy a relaxed lunch.
Mid-afternoon, we return to the hotel for a well earned rest before gathering again for dinner.
Saturday Night – The Hotel Investigation
As darkness falls, the investigation continues within the very walls of the Charlecote Pheasant Hotel itself. Despite its long history, the hotel has rarely been the focus of organised paranormal research, making this an especially exciting opportunity. Staff and past guests have shared stories of unexplained footsteps, fleeting figures and unusual occurrences in several of the bedrooms, rooms to which you will have exclusive night time access.
This weekend is carefully crafted to balance historic exploration, atmospheric locations and genuine paranormal investigation. From grand castles to timber framed streets and winding castle corridors, every moment is designed to draw you deeper into the mystery, a journey through Tudor history where the past may feel closer than you expect.
Hauntings of Terror of The Tudors Weekend
The locations you will explore throughout this weekend are steeped in centuries of recorded hauntings, whispered encounters and unexplained events that continue to draw investigators back time and time again.
Warwick Castle remains one of our most active and compelling investigation sites. We return here often, not out of routine, but because each visit reveals something new. Guests frequently join us again, drawn by the intensity of previous experiences and the castle’s unmistakable atmosphere after dark. With countless reported sightings, unexplained sounds and lingering presences tied to its ancient walls, every overnight investigation holds the promise of the unexpected.
The Tudor World Museum offers a very different but equally chilling energy. Behind its timbered façade lies a building rich in folklore and macabre history. Without revealing too much before your arrival, it is safe to say this location rarely leaves visitors without a story to tell. Subtle movements, sudden drops in temperature and the feeling of unseen company are all part of its reputation.
Your stay at the Charlecote Pheasant Hotel brings an added layer of mystery. Unlike the other venues, this historic hotel has been rarely investigated, making each moment of the overnight ghost hunt truly unpredictable. We cannot say who, or what may make its presence known, only that past guests and staff have shared accounts that are difficult to dismiss. It is this very uncertainty that makes the experience so compelling; the sense that you are stepping into the unknown, where history is quiet… but never entirely still.
History of The Terror of The Tudors Weekend Ghost Tour
This weekend is devoted to the Tudor age, a time of power struggles, betrayal and brutal consequence, where grandeur and darkness walked hand in hand. From whispered conspiracies to public executions, the era left behind more than written history; it left echoes that many believe still linger within the walls of the places you will explore.
While Warwick Castle predates the Tudor dynasty itself, its influence on the turbulent years that followed is undeniable. The castle stood as a silent witness to shifting loyalties, rising families and the emergence of a new royal line. Its stones have endured centuries of conflict and transformation, and with such deep roots, it is little wonder that so many claim its past refuses to remain buried.
Throughout the weekend, we do more than simply visit historic buildings, we delve into the lives, legends and darker chapters of the figures who once walked their corridors. Understanding the people, politics and tragedies of the period adds depth to every investigation, allowing each creaking floorboard or distant footstep to feel connected to a real story rather than mere superstition.
By blending historical insight with immersive paranormal exploration, the experience becomes far more than a tour; it becomes a journey into an age where ambition was ruthless, justice was often cruel, and some believe the spirits of that time still wait to be heard.
